In order to investigate how two-dimensional type appears on three-dimensional forms, I experimented with wrapping four formally-distinct letterforms – set in Helvetica – around cans and rearranged them in various ways. The resulting animation shows how the curves and angles of individual letterforms are broken up and reassembled to create completely new, visually interesting forms.
